Instructions

Preparation

  • Marinate the thinly sliced beef in a bowl. Combine soy sauce, cornstarch, brown sugar, and rice vinegar, mixing well to coat the meat evenly. Let it sit for at least 15-20 minutes.
  • Prepare the broccoli by bringing a pot of water to a boil. Add the broccoli florets and blanch for about 2 minutes until bright green and slightly tender. Transfer them to an ice bath immediately.

Cooking

  • Heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a large pan over high heat. Add minced garlic and fresh ginger, sautéing until fragrant.
  • Add the marinated beef to the pan in a single layer. Sear until browned and cooked through, stirring occasionally.
  • Stir in the blanched broccoli and pour in the oyster sauce and sesame oil. Toss gently to coat everything in the sauce.
  • Remove from heat and garnish with sesame seeds. Serve over cooked rice or noodles.

Notes

For best results, don't overcrowd the pan when cooking; work in batches if necessary. Storage tips: refrigerate leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days and reheat thoroughly before serving.
