Ingredients

Main ingredients

  • 2 pieces Ripe pears Choose firm yet slightly tender pears for juiciness.
  • 1/4 cup Crumbled blue cheese Use a creamy variety for optimal melting.
  • 2 tablespoons Chopped walnuts Adds crunch and nutty aroma.
  • 1 tablespoon Honey Brings natural sweetness; optional to drizzle more on top.
  • 1 teaspoon Fresh thyme leaves Adds an earthy touch.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Cut the pears in half and scoop out the core to create a small cavity.
  • In a bowl, mix the crumbled blue cheese, chopped walnuts, honey, and fresh thyme.
  • Stuff the cheese mixture into the cavity of each pear half.
  • Arrange pears cut-side up on a baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until tender and cheese is melted.
  • Let cool slightly before serving. Drizzle with extra honey if desired.

Notes

Choose pears that are ripe but still firm to avoid mushiness. Adjust the amount of honey based on preference; maple syrup can be used as a substitute.
