Ingredients
  

For the filling

  • 1/4 cup blueberry jam Bursting with luscious, juicy blueberry flavor.
  • 1 tsp fresh lemon juice Adds a bright, zesty note.
  • 1/4 tsp kosher salt Enhances sweetness and depth of flavor.

For the crust

  • 1 pkg pie dough (14 oz) Store-bought or homemade for flaky crust.
  • 1 large egg For egg wash, gives a beautiful golden color.
  • all-purpose flour for dusting Prevent dough from sticking.

For the icing

  • 1/2 cup confectioners' sugar Adds a sweet, creamy drizzle.
  • 1 Tbsp fresh lemon juice Brightens the icing.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the blueberry jam, fresh lemon juice, and kosher salt. Stir until well mixed.
  • On a floured surface, roll out the pie dough to about 1/8 inch thick and cut out ghost shapes.
  • Place half of the ghost-shaped cutouts on a baking sheet. Cut eyes and mouths in the other half.
  • Spread a small dollop of blueberry filling on each of the whole ghost shapes. Brush edges with egg wash.

Assembly

  • Carefully place the cut-out shapes on top, align, and seal edges using a fork. Brush tops with egg wash.

Baking

  • Bake for about 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed.

Finishing Touch

  • For icing, whisk together confectioners' sugar, lemon juice, and water until smooth. Drizzle over cooled pies.

Notes

Ensure the pie dough is cold before rolling out to maintain flakiness. Customize shapes for festive occasions!
