Preparation

  • Mix in the egg, egg yolk, and almond extract, blending until well combined.
  • Gradually fold in the dry ingredients until you have a smooth, cohesive dough.
  • Chill the dough in the fridge for 2 hours.

Baking

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Line your baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • Portion the chilled dough into 24 equal balls and create a small well in the center of each ball for cherry jam.
  • Roll the dough ball in sliced almonds and arrange the cookies on the prepared baking sheets.
