Ingredients
  

Cheese Mixture

  • 8 ounces cream cheese, soft and creamy Ensure it's at room temperature.
  • 1 cup white sharp cheddar cheese, shredded Enhances the flavor.
  • 1 cup dried cranberries, chopped and divided Provides sweetness.
  • 1/4 cup chives or green onions, chopped Adds a fresh aroma.
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder Adds depth to the flavor.

Optional Garnish

  • 1 cup Fisher’s Nuts pecans, chopped and toasted For a lovely crunch (optional).

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Spread the chopped pecans on a baking tray and bake for about 5 minutes or until they become aromatic. Allow them to cool before using.
  • In a large mixing bowl, blend the cream cheese and shredded cheddar until smooth and creamy.
  • Add half of the toasted pecans, half of the cranberries, chopped chives, and garlic powder into the mix. Combine all the ingredients until well incorporated.

Forming the Cheese Ball

  • Scoop the cheese mixture onto a piece of plastic wrap. Shape the mixture into a ball using the wrap and refrigerate for at least one hour.

Garnishing

  • On a clean surface, combine the remaining chopped pecans, cranberries, and chives. Once the cheese ball is chilled, unwrap it and roll it in the mixture until evenly coated.

Serving

  • Present the cheese ball on a platter surrounded by crackers, pita chips, or fresh vegetables.

Notes

Ensure cream cheese is softened for a smooth blend. Chill properly for the best consistency and flavor.
