Cobbler Batter

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour Forms the base of the crust.
  • 1 cup granulated sugar Sweetens the batter.
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder Aids in fluffiness.
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt Enhances flavors.
  • 1 cup milk Incorporates creaminess.
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted Adds richness.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a large bowl, combine sliced peaches with 1/4 cup granulated sugar, 1/4 cup brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, lemon juice, and cornstarch. Stir until well combined.
  • Transfer the peach mixture to a 9x13-inch baking dish, spreading evenly.
  • In another bowl, whisk together flour, 1 cup granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt until fluffy.
  • Gradually add milk to the flour mixture, stirring until just combined. Do not over-mix.
  • Pour the batter over the peaches in the baking dish.
  • Drizzle melted butter over the batter.

Baking

  • Bake for 35-45 minutes, or until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
  • Let the cobbler cool before serving.

Notes

Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-5 days.
