Ingredients

For the Quesadillas

  • 1 lb Sirloin Steak tender and juicy
  • 1 tsp Chili Powder for a spicy kick
  • 1/2 tsp Paprika adds a hint of smokiness
  • 1/4 tsp Cumin earthy and aromatic
  • 1/4 tsp Oregano refreshingly fragrant
  • 1/4 tsp Garlic Powder sweet and pungent
  • 1/4 tsp Onion Powder for depth of flavor
  • 1/4 tsp Salt to enhance all flavors
  • 4 large Flour Tortillas soft and pliable
  • 2 cups Taco Blend Shredded Cheese creamy and melty
  • 1/2 cup Cherry Tomatoes sliced; juicy and sweet
  • 1/2 cup Fire-Roasted Corn drained; with a charred flavor
  • 1/2 cup Black Beans rinsed & drained; rich in protein
  • 1/2 cup Avocado diced; creamy and fresh
  • Lime Juice for garnishing; zesty
  • Chopped Cilantro for garnish; aromatic and herbal
  • Cooking Oil for skillet; for golden sear

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  • In a small bowl, combine chili powder, paprika, cumin, oregano, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt.
  • Rub the seasoning mix onto the sirloin steak, ensuring every inch is coated.
  • Heat a skillet with a drizzle of cooking oil and sear the steak for 4-5 minutes on each side.
  • Let the steak rest for 5 minutes before slicing it into bite-sized pieces.

Assembly and Cooking

  • On a baking sheet, layer a tortilla with a generous amount of cheese, followed by the sliced steak, black beans, corn, tomatoes, avocado, and a bit more cheese.
  • Top with another tortilla and bake in the oven for 8-10 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
  • Once out of the oven, garnish with lime juice and fresh cilantro, slice into wedges, and serve hot.

Notes

Remember to let the steak rest before slicing to keep the juices trapped inside. Preheating the skillet ensures a perfect sear.
