Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F and line a large baking sheet with foil and parchment paper.
  • Lay the lemon slices on top of the prepared sheet.
  • Season the salmon fillet generously with kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper.
  • Place the seasoned salmon on top of the lemon slices.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine garlic, melted butter, honey, dried oregano, and chopped thyme.
  • Pour the mixture over the salmon fillet, evenly coating it.
  • Carefully fold the parchment and foil around the salmon, creating a sealed packet.

Cooking

  • Bake the sealed salmon packet in the preheated oven for approximately 25 minutes.
  • Turn on the broiler and broil the salmon for an additional 4-6 minutes for a golden-brown crust.

Serving

  • Transfer the salmon to a serving platter and sprinkle with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

For best results, ensure your salmon is fresh and do not rush the marination process. Additional cooking tips include using a meat thermometer for perfect doneness at 145°F and allowing the salmon to rest after cooking.
