  • 1 tsp unsweetened cocoa powder Enhances the chocolate essence.
  • Pinch kosher salt Enhances flavors.

Preparation

  • In a small bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, instant espresso powder, and cocoa powder until smooth.
  • In a stand mixer, beat the mascarpone and cream cheese with the confectioners’ sugar for about 2 minutes until the mixture is smooth and well-combined.
  • Carefully add the whipped cream mixture, vanilla extract, and salt to the cream cheese mixture, gently folding to combine.
  • Beat on low speed, then increase to medium-high until the mixture is light and fluffy, about 1 minute.
  • Transfer to a serving bowl and dust with cocoa powder. Serve with ladyfingers.

Notes

For best results, ensure ingredients are at room temperature. Whip the cream until soft peaks form. Use quality espresso powder for best flavor. Chill the dip for enhanced flavor.
