Preparation

  • Start by browning the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat. Break it apart with a spatula until fully cooked and golden brown.
  • Add the taco seasoning and 1/4 cup of water to the meat and mix well. Let it simmer for about 5 minutes.
  • Set up a serving station with all toppings ready for assembly.
  • Crush the tortilla chips in individual bags or bowls for easier customization.

Assembly

  • Layer the seasoned meat mixture over the chips.
  • Add a handful of shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, and your choice of cheese on top.
  • Finish with sour cream and a drizzle of hot sauce to taste. Serve immediately.
